So I started a new tumblr called One Door to Another. It’s actually been a project of mine for a very long time (five years now), but it’s one that I’ve always just kept to myself. However, since most of the photos are now taken using my iPhone and shared using Instagram, I thought that I’d create a tumblr for them.
It’s pictures of doorways, doors, gates. It makes me walk around a little more aware of the beauty, especially in an old town like mine.

This was the last photo I took in Barcelona, about a half hour before I got onto the bus to the airport. It was nice to have the last thing I saw in Barcelona be Gaudí’s magnificent La Pedrera rooftop. I’ve finally uploaded all (well, the good ones, anyway) my photos onto my photography tumblr.

Planning trips is so much fun, but making them a reality is a pain in the ass.

Places I’d rather be: Barcelona.
Actually, I’d rather be anywhere but here. I have an exam tomorrow that I’m completely unprepared for, my final essay due next week, and more exams following that. I’m starting to hyperventilate at the thought of mucking anything up and not being able to graduate. I really can’t wait for this month to be over.

I couldn’t believe how gorgeous this was when I was there and I still can’t, really. That Señor Gaudí is one brilliant bugger.

I got some beautiful aerial views of Doha as I was flying back to the UK, and I had to take some photos. I’m pleased with them.

Because I was flown out all expenses paid to Doha (for the Gathering the Tide book launch), when I went home for a week (which I paid for) I flew from there because it made more sense. Unfortunately, that meant that on the way back, I had to fly Bahrain-Doha, Doha-London, London-Edinburgh. It took nineteen hours including waits and I was exhausted by the time I let myself into my flat.

Looking down on Barcelona. I was really pleased with this picture when I saw how well it came out. I want to visit the city again in the summer, and drag a few friends along, when I’m not concerned with seeing all the sights, and just walk around in the maze of little streets and stop at random places to eat and take lots of pictures.
