Currently reading. Also, Just Kids by Patti Smith. Halfway through one and three quarters through the other.
Sorry for the sporadic posts, I’ve been traipsing about London with a friend. Our feet hurt, but we’re covering a lot of ground. I’m trying to do all I want before the Jubilee parade, since it would be murder to move about central London with all the fuss.

Fuck it. I’m just going to curl up on the sofa with a cup of tea and reread this.

Currently reading. I really like the idea of this book, so I hope it doesn’t disappoint.

Currently reading The Apothecary by Maile Meloy (which I got as a birthday gift from the lovely Zoë) as a break from my English paper (which is depressing) and my Psych papers (which are a lot of hard work). Isn’t the book beautiful? It’s illustrated by Ian Schoenherr.

Currently reading. One of the things I adore about John Fowles is that he actually makes me reach for the dictionary (and not infrequently). That rarely happens to me. Three cheers for expanding vocabularies!

I honestly haven’t the faintest idea why I thought it was a good plan to write about this book for an English essay. This book shattered me the first time I read it, and I suppose I thought that knowing its emotional impact and knowing the storyline would make it easy to divorce myself from its grasp and think of it coolly as essay material. But I couldn’t and I’m frequently on the verge of sobbing.

I don’t think I’ve done a currently reading in a little while. So I’m reading a lot of Woolf at the moment, Selected Diares as well as rereading To The Lighthouse. I think I’m going to try and The Waves in the next couple of weeks as well, because I want to write about her and I’d like to have a fuller picture. I’m about to start Revolutionary Road because I think I want to write about it too, and finally, I’m reading a fuckton of psychology papers and articles.

Currently reading. It’s fascinating, and I’m glad I’m reading it, but I hope beyond hope it’s also useful for my essays. It’s almost crunch time.
