I finished my last exam this afternoon, a really horrid philosophy one. I still have two papers to write for next week, but I’ll be heading down to London tomorrow and attempting to do them as I’m on the train and as I’m barrelling around doing different things and meeting up with friends. Let’s hope I get it done, because it’s extremely important that I do.
One of my closest friends invited me over to hers tonight for dinner and a movie to celebrate being done. She made a lovely risotto, I supplied us with cheesecake and Beginners (which is a lovely movie, so sad, but so good). We had a nice, candle-lit night of chatting and watching and eating. Relaxed and lovely. I stargazed on the walk over — it’s the thing I most miss when I’m in the city. The lack of stars when I glance up at night.
I’m gathering my stuff together tonight to pack, since I go straight from London to Barcelona in ten days (eep! so exciting!). I’m taking a tiny carry-on, and I have to fit two and a half weeks worth of clothes, as well as seven books, a folder of notes and articles, and my laptop. I’m not sure how this is going to be achieved. Well, unless I actually do laundry while I’m at my flat in London, which I typically avoid because I always have better things to do in London than wait around to take my laundry out of the washer.
Anyway! Off I go. I must vacuum, scrub the kitchen, do the dishes, pack, run a couple of errands, go the library, and shower by one tomorrow afternoon. I was going to do a big chunk of it tonight (cleaning/packing) but I think I should sleep. Exam season is over and it has taken its toll.
