When I was in London a few weeks ago, I went to visit my friend Vicky in Cambridge. I’d never been, so I brought my camera along (not that I ever really travel much without it) and ended up making this thoughts from places video. We walked around, visited the Fitzwilliam Museum, caught a concert by the solo violinist Alda Dizdari, and saw the sunset from a height. All in all, a very good day.

This is the last of my videos from Istanbul — this one from the inside of the beautiful Aya Sofya.

Walking around the bazaars in Istanbul, the Grand Bazaar and the Spice Bazaar, as well as just beyond, the New Mosque, and smoking shisha. I’m not a smoker (of anything) and I can count the number of times I’ve smoked shisha on one hand, but my friend and I shared one ‘cause we were in Istanbul, so what the hell.

I’ve really enjoyed making and having these videos of my trip. I took lots of footage in Barcelona as well, but at the moment I can’t even begin to face it so I’m ignoring it. But this is a great new hobby.

Footage from my visit to the Blue Mosque in Istanbul, in the courtyard and inside the actual mosque. It was a stunning place.

The second video from my footage from Istanbul. It’s short, I promise (1:42, to be precise). It’s mostly walking around the city, views from what was our rooftop, the seaside, and a teahouse.

Go watch it, etc.

I made a video from my footage from Istanbul!

Well, actually, considering I had quite a lot of footage I made several videos. They’re all finished but this is the first I’ve uploaded. They’re all about two minutes or under. Give it a watch, let me know what you think!

I made a video. Yay, etc.

Zet asked me to do Spaces, a project which showcases a person’s place in the world, exploring their homes, places they’re comfortable in, or what their idea of a space is. I decided to execute her request in video form, and this is the result. I did this while I was in Bahrain, so it’s where I grew up rather than where I am now.

I’ve been really enjoying making videos for several months, so I just decided to bite the bullet and start sharing some. I hope you guys like them. If you’re a YouTube person, do follow me on there.

This is a video of an event I did where we launched lanterns to raise money and awareness for anti-genocide. There’s a couple of voiceovers in there but it’s mostly just me filming the lanterns and people.
