Just read these books, people. Goddamn. They’re so bloody good. It makes me so happy to know that this exists in the world. It’s YA but is not patronising in any way, doesn’t dumb anything down, and is gut-wrenching. I’d say it’s a mix between sci-fi and dystopia, but it reads like reality, which I think is a sign of a great book. I’m handing them onto my little brother (he’s not very little, he’s 19) today, because as I was reading them all I could think was that he’d enjoy them, and that makes me love the books more. I love sharing things with him, because we don’t often read the same stuff (he’s not a big reader, but when he gets into a book, he’ll swallow it).
